The Holiday season is upon us!

This holiday season is going to be very different from the last few so I thought that I would share some of the highlights.

First, we started this holiday season with a combined Thanksgiving/Christmas celebration!  We had both sets of parents and siblings/Significant others over for a week of eating, drinking, and partying.  We spent plenty of time enjoying local breweries, outdoor hikes, and of course plenty of food.  We did the traditional Thanksgiving feast and leftovers but also went out for plenty of food.

To really make us realize it was cold out, our furnace went out (twice!  You think we would have learned from the first event!).  It helped us to all cuddle and spend more time in the same room!

Matching blankets!

I called the place where I used to work and spent a lot of money and voila!, we have heat again.

Shawn and I were also treated to some early Christmas gifts!  Shawn got a Trek Bike just like mine and we got the rack to put it on the car.  While the Trek store guy was able to easily put the rack on the car, Shawn and I spent more than 30 minutes and it still wasn’t quite right.  Hopefully it will get easier!

While we won’t be heading to Iowa or West Virginia this year for Christmas, I am kind of excited to spend Christmas morning with my husband and our puppy!

How are you spending your holiday season this year?
