Shrimp and Paint!

So this week has flown by!!  It must be the fact that it’s my week for a TWO DAY WEEKEND!!  We haven’t done a lot of remarkable things yet this week but the Husband has been playing around with some new recipes.  Last night we had Lemon Pepper Shrimp and Linguini.  I am usually not a lemon pepper fan so the taste was definitely played down.  Almost too played down.  Here’s the recipe!

Lemon Pepper Shrimp Linguini

In a shallow pan, bring ½ cup water to simmer.  Once simmering add  1 chicken bouillon cube, 2 tbs lemon juice, pepper, lemon pepper, salt, basil, parsley all to taste.  Also add 2 tbs butter.  Finally, in goes the white wine.  We used Clayhouse this time around.  Just a half cup.  Once that is combined, let reduce and simmer for 5 minutes.  Once that time has passed, add shrimp and let that cook for two.  Finally, add your already cooked pasta, mix well and let cook down for 5 minutes.  Plate a serve!

We had ours with store bought Garlic bread and a glass of the Clayhouse.  Where else did you think it would end up?

Yesterday was also Brit’s last day at work.  Sad day!!  I don’t know how I will function on a daily basis without her.  Caroline, Brittany, Ashley, and I headed to BJ’s for a farewell lunch.  I had never been before so I was excited to try something new.  The Husband and I have lived here for 2 years now and the list of new places to try is still growing!  Had some tasty teriyaki that was a very nice leftover for today’s lunch.  I will definitely be going back to try their local beer!

Maggie’s food delivery also came yesterday.  She is now re-enamored with the DVD shelf where we keep her treats.  They are just out of reach but she definitely knows they are there!

HINT: They are in the purple flower pot...

In the last of the details this week, the Husband and I have finally agreed on a paint color!  I am considering repainting the bathroom upstairs.  We have lived in the townhouse too long for us to have not made any real changes to the main living space.  The bathroom paint will be a cheap change that should only take a weekend.  What do you think of the colors?

Probably won’t happen this weekend but at least we are planning!  Any big plans this weekend?
