I’ve got the music in me


So I am running to get my body in a place where I won’t embarrass myself next week for my first 5k.  I have been running and doing yoga and trying to get myself together.  One of the apps that I use is Pandora as I need to have music when I run.  However, after months of listening to the Pop Fitness set up, I’m getting bored.  I’ve decided that while I may have the opportunity to be social next week, I want to have a set playlist of running/motivational music that will keep me from walking too much.

So I have a favor to ask…  Help me build my 5k playlist!  Leave me a comment of what you would listen to  and why and I will post my playlist next week with your comments and link to your blog.  Sound fun??

  1. I’m about to betray my semi-questionable taste in music but for me, workout music is all about the beat so here are some of my running favs:

    Till the World Ends – Britney Spears
    Moves Like Jagger – Maroon 5
    What Doesn’t Kill You (Stronger) – Kelly Clarkson
    Black and Yellow – Wiz Hkalifa (I pretend it’s about the Hawkeyes)
    Almost anything by Rhianna

  2. I have to say Black Eyed Peas, Lady Gaga, and Timbaland tend to be the best at keeping me going at a good pace. Other than that you can always try Rhianna, Slayer, and Nikki Minaj!

  3. I love it when White and Nerdy by Weird Al comes on when I run. It always makes me laugh and I sing along in my head – makes the time fly by. 🙂
